We use fiber reactive dyes-a respiratory irritant if inhaled in their pre-mixed, powder form, they are otherwise completely safe and colorfast.
Fixatives used are vinegar for animal fibers and soda ash (aka washing soda) for plant fibers. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our dyes please feel free to contact us.

About Us/Dyes Used/Our Process
I couldn’t possibly imagine, at age six when Grandma Trujillo taught me to crochet, that I would find a life long love and passion for it. That was more than 30 years ago and I’ve since expanded on the passion, teaching myself to sew, knit, hand-paint & spin.
My dream is to turn my passion into my life’s work, and, with the help and support of my family, we are doing just that.
We hope to provide unique, superior products at reasonable prices. We are continuously searching for quality products from customer friendly sources so that we may do just that.

Our colors are mixed using a creative process-nothing (except mordants and fixatives) is measured, no notes are taken. Each dye lot is unique and cannot be exactly duplicated. Combinations are chosen by whim and fancy, along with a little imagination as to what the fiber will eventually become.
To keep costs down, we skein our yarns based not on weight in grams or ounces, but on total yardage so that we can get the most from each cone while allowing for shrinkage that occurs during dying.
